Discerning the Times – A Prophetic Wake-Up Call

Discerning the Times – A Prophetic Wake-Up Call

Discerning the Times – A Prophetic Wake-Up Call
Scripture: “From Issachar, men who understood the times and knew what Israel should do.” – 1 Chronicles 12:32 (NIV)

There’s a storm brewing—not one of wind and rain, but of shifting economies, strained resources, and spiritual apathy. As prices rise, shipments slow, and domestic production wanes, many continue as if all is well. Yet, the Spirit whispers to those who will listen: Prepare. Watch. Discern.

The sons of Issachar were not warriors in the traditional sense, but their strength came through understanding the times. They read the signs, not just in the natural but in the spiritual, and provided divine strategy for their nation. Today, we need that same Issachar anointing—to see beyond the surface and discern what’s coming.

Tariffs are increasing. Supplies are tightening. Shortages and inflation are not just economic terms—they are indicators, signals calling the body of Christ to awaken. Not to panic, but to prepare. Not to hoard, but to steward wisely. Not to fear, but to walk in faith with foresight.

Now is the time to be prayerful and proactive. To store, plan, and position yourself not just physically, but spiritually. Ask God:

  • What do I need to set in order?

  • Where do I need to sow or save?

  • Who do I need to help prepare?

The world may sleep through the shaking, but those with discerning hearts must rise and sound the alarm—not with fear, but with truth wrapped in love and urgency.

Prayer:
Lord, give us the spirit of the sons of Issachar. Open our eyes to the signs of the times. Teach us how to prepare—not just for ourselves, but to be a blessing to others. Help us discern not only what’s happening but also what we should do. May we be faithful, wise, and ready. In Jesus’ name, amen.
